Abstract
Sodium chloride NaCl, commonly known as salt, is one of the most abundant minerals on Earth and an essential nutrient for many animals and plants. It is naturally found in seawater and in underground rock formations. A representation of unit cell of sodium chloride NaCl is the same as the cartesian product of three paths of length 3. We present a formula, which can be used to obtain any degree-based topological index for sodium chloride. This result generalizes other known results in the area. We also give exact values of the most well-known degree-based topological indices for sodium chloride.
