Abstract
Objective: To investigate the talent development in roller skating using a short-term exercise program which will be based on balance, agility and speed performance, in healthy boys who are enrolled in skating. Design: A randomized controlled trial. Setting: Sports premises of the school. Participants: The sample of 32 participants between the age of 11-14 years will be recruited randomly based on the inclusion criteria. Outcome measure: The star excursion balance test agility t test, and arrowhead change of direction speed test will be evaluated pre-intervention and post-intervention. Skating performance test will recorded pre- and post-intervention using a linear sprint test. The final readings will be taken after 4 weeks of intervention. Discussion: The results of the study will provide a data for development skating talent in the young participants using the structured short-term exercise program on various skating skills. The study will evaluate the effect of 4 week exercises based on balance, agility and speed in improving performance of skating in young skaters.
