Abstract
This paper addresses the status of women in physics in the present Yemen Crisis. We present the progress of women in physics for BSc/MSc students and as well as for female faculty members. The political situation has had negative effects on the participation of female students in physics. The percentage of women in physics has decreased compared with previous findings. On the other hand, the female teaching staff with doctoral degrees has increased not only in Sana’a University but also in other universities around Yemen. The consequence of the unstable and deteriorating situation of Yemen is the migration of academics to neighboring countries seeking better living standards.
