Abstract
The nursing workforce must be prepared to address and respond to diverse populations. Students and faculty participated in an international outreach trip to increase awareness of global health issues. Outcomes included realizing the need for colaboration among health professions, value of access to health care, learning and understanding the importance of social determinants of health and cultural awareness of factors influencing health, and a stronger desire to help diverse communities and populations.
