Abstract
Educational institutions have to work on fully preparing the next generation of students and instructors to enhance digital citizenship. This study aimed to examine the role of instructors' technological skills in the use of social media and their role in enhancing students' digital citizenship. The methodology of the study followed a quantitative method using an electronic questionnaire. Two instruments were used to collect the data, from 292 instructors and 457 students who had participated, to collect their views about the role of instructors' technological skills in using social media to enhance students' digital citizenship. The results revealed that there is a positive relationship between instructors' technological skills in the use of social media and their role in enhancing students' digital citizenship. This study was concluded with recommendations and future research.
