Abstract
Lung cancer ranks first in the world in incidence and mortality. Multiple risk factors have been identified and the majority of lung cancer cases are preventable. In constrast, lung cancer is not the most common cancer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as it ranks third among men and 12th among females. This manuscript presents a summary of the epidemiology of lung cancer and its risk factors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
