Abstract
A monotone iterative method is applied to show the existence of an extremal solution for a nonlinear system involving the right-handed Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative with nonlocal coupled integral boundary conditions. Two comparison results are established. As an application, an example is presented to demonstrate the efficacy of the main result. (C) 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
