Abstract
The existence or not of the first three sections of Badai al-zuhur fi waqai al-duhur was the subject of a great debate. In the absence of these sections, some historians and experts affirm that they have existed indeed, others, on the contrary, deny this hypothesis. In this article we will try to demonstrate, from information collected in the extant sections of the Badai that Ibn Iyas actually wrote three first lost sections. Ibn Iyas himself repeatedly says in his chronicle that he has treated themes related to the pre-Islamic history somewhere else than in the Badai we have now, so in other sections. We compare in this paper a booklet that we have found in Egypt to existing sections of the Badai al-zuhur to try to show that it could be one of the first lost sections of this chronicle and particularly the first one.
