Abstract
Analytical techniques for estimating the size spectrum of outer-Galaxy molecular clouds from incomplete survey data are presented and applied to 115.3-GHz (C-12)O (J = 1-0) observations obtained with the 11-m NRAO telescope at Kitt Peak in January and May, 1982. The size spectrum is found to be similar to those found for the inner Galaxy and for local H I clouds, suggesting that cloud formation from atomic or molecular gas in these regions can be attributed to one physical mechanism.
