Abstract
Sixty-four boot-wearing policemen with chronic athlete's foot entered into an open clinical trial with tioconazole 1% dermal powder. Only 18 (28.1%) completed the trial. Mycologic cure was recorded in 16 of the 18 patients (88.9%) of which two (11.1%) had complete cure (mycologic and clinical) and 14 (77.8%) had mycologic cure associated with clinical improvement after the three-week treatment period.
