Abstract
Lindley distribution is one of the important lifetime model extensively used to analyze the lifetime data. In this paper, a generalized version of the Lindley distribution, called the transmuted Kumaraswamy Lindley (TKL) distribution, is introduced. A comprehensive mathematical treatment of the TKL distribution is provided to study its properties. Moreover, we discuss the maximum likelihood estimation with its applications to real life data.
