Abstract
This paper proposes a new high gain DC/DC converter. The proposed converter achieves higher voltage-gain with reduced voltage-stress and lower duty cycle in comparison to similar topologies. The proposed converter is derived from the traditional dual inductor boost converter by adding two switched capacitor loops to the switch in the first leg and the inductor in the second leg. Therefore, adding two more capacitors increases the output voltage gain of the converter. Detailed theoretical analysis, operation and a comparison with similar topologies are discussed. Moreover, experimental testing and verification of a laboratory prototype is demonstrated.
