Abstract
A mild and simple oximation reaction of 4-chloro-3-formylcoumarin with hydroxylamine hydrochloride in basic medium gave unexpected three components via oxime. Those compounds were separatedin good yields by preparative TLC and by chemical means using differentreaction conditions. IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and mass spectral data confirmed the structure of the separated compounds.
