Abstract
The present work investigates the effects of viscous dissipation and Ohmic heating on steady MHD convective flow due to a porous rotating disk taking into account the variable fluid properties (density (p) viscosity (mu) and thermal conductivity (k)) in the presence of Hall current and thermal adiation. These properties are taken to be dependent on temperature. The partial differential equations governing the problem under consideration are reduced to a system of BVP ordinary differential equations by using similarity transformations which are solved numerically using the successive linearization method. Comparisons with previously published works are performed to test the validity of the obtained results. The effects of different parameters on the velocity as well as temperature are depicted graphically and are analyzed in detail and the numerical values of the skin friction and the rate of heat transfer are entered in tables.
