Abstract
Carbon silicon carbide composite is very important material due to its excellent thermal and mechanical properties, self lubricating and low wear capability. This composite can be used in lubricating oil and grease. The composite is prepared by using new polymeric surfactants. The technique of preparation was suggested and the optimum conditions were determined. The friction and wear performance has been evaluated. The results indicated that the composite has excellent wearing resistance. However, friction and wear behavior was investigated. The results are discussed according to its surface properties.
