Abstract
A simple derivation of both the wye-delta and delta-wye transformations is presented. This derivation stresses the concept of duality, illustrates the formulation and solution of node and loop matrix equations, and explains the role played by the wye-delta and delta-wye transformations in simplifying circuits.
