The molecule of the title compound, C11H13ClN2O2, is approximately planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.099 angstrom for non-H atoms) and adopts a Z conformation about the C=N double bond. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds to the same O-atom acceptor, forming zigzag chains propagating along [010]. These interactions give rise to R-2(1) (6) loops.
