Abstract
l-Proline (20mol%) was found to be an efficient organocatalyst for one pot synthesis of a variety of α-aminonitriles from aldehydes (1), amines (2) and trimethylsilyl cyanide (TMSCN, 3) in acetonitrile at ambient temperature giving good to excellent yields (72–95%).
